Portfolio: "Let them Eat Cake" Swim and Resort wear

The range incorporates the ideas of the physical nature and colors of food with the energy and outcomes of having a food fight. Harping on the beauty of the unexpected, each piece is original due to the methods used; outcomes can be forecasted but not exactly formulated. Through intense research and experimentation, in the collection many fabrics are dyed using environmentally conscious alternatives to commercial dye methods. Colors are only those found in nature using both home-grown and commercially grown produce and all natural methods of dyeing. Many of the vegetables and fruits used came directly from my own garden. The original prints incorporate similar ideas, which are then combined with the actual objects or there implied texture. Silhouettes are inspired by the organic curves and soft round shapes of common fruits and baked goods. Clothing is comfortable and easy, yet luxurious and environmentally savvy.
